Teaser Tuesday: The Force of Wind by Elizabeth Hunter

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Read on for this weeks teasers...

I'm back this week! My life has suddenly gone hectic so I've had a hard time keeping on top of my memes! Anyway, let's get to it. Because I'm swamped with my book release only being a few weeks away I've stopped myself from getting lost in another book series at the moment so right now I'm re-reading Elizabeth Hunters Elemental Mysteries series with a friend who is reading them for the first time. Of course I don't mind reading them again. In fact, it was me who got her into them and she' solving them just as much as me. Giovanni Vecchio is one of the most swoon-worthy vampires ever, so I have no problem revisiting him and Beatrice is a really great female lead, very relatable and real. I absolutely love these books and Elizabeth Hunter's writing. I hope you enjoy the teasers.

The Force of Wind (Elemental Mysteries #3) by Elizabeth Hunter

How far would you go to protect the ones you love?

What would you sacrifice to kill the one you hate?

Join Giovanni Vecchio and Beatrice De Novo as they travel to a hidden island on the far edge of China to seek the help of an ancient immortal court. Can they weave their way through the tangled web of centuries-old alliances and ruthless feuds to find what they’ve been looking for? Friends will be revealed, enemies will find them, and a dangerous secret will come to light.

The third book in the Elemental Mysteries series will see Giovanni and Beatrice joined by a group of unlikely allies as they explore the history and myth of the far East. Many have been stolen, but only one holds the key.

The Force of Wind is the third book in the four-part Elemental Mysteries series. It is the sequel to This Same Earth and is a paranormal mystery/romance for adult readers.(less)

Here are my teaser sentences:

'“I want to stay with you forever,” he whispered, looking into her eyes. “I want the world to go away.”
Beatrice lifted a hand to his cheek, stroking it and igniting another surge of desire. “I do, too.” She closed her eyes and arched up. “Love me now.”

'“Tesoro mio,” he purred, “come back to bed. You’re not dressed yet; we have time.”
His hand crept out, fingers slipping around her thigh as he drew her back to the luxurious bed.
Beatrice allowed herself to be pulled. “I know what you’re trying to do, possessive vampire.”

I HIGHLY recommend it. It's definitely one of the best free... or even just one of the best books I've read.
